Welcome to my World

I am Charlie Guest, 2x Winter Olympian and Psychology student.

My career is defined by always getting back up stronger. I strive to be a positive force, promoting unity and equity throughout sport.

I’m currently available for speaking events and commercial activity.

I’m from Perth in Scotland, and began my skiing journey on a golf course in the Scottish Highlands. I study at the University of Aberdeen and throughout the Winter, my training is based across Europe to follow the World Cup Tour.

In 2014, I had a life changing training crash, breaking 4 vertebrae in my lower back. It hugely affected my career and challenged me to find new ways of training as a professional athlete. More profoundly it has been the base for significant personal growth which has allowed me to excel and create longevity for myself within sport and my personal life.

This growth has allowed me to be more than an athlete.

This more holistic approach to my sporting career went against the grain, but has given me the space to pursue multiple passions and connect with a range of people from different backgrounds.

I have found that to truly succeed on the mountain, I need to first look after myself as a whole person.

  • 5x British Slalom Champion.

  • The first British Woman to win an Alpine European Cup.

  • Aiming for the top step on the World Cup and Olympic podium.

Student

Recovering from multiple injuries, I started to realise the powerful connection between mental and physical health which inspired me to begin a degree in Psychology in 2019 at the University of Aberdeen - I plan to graduate in 2027 (fingers crossed).

Speaker & advocate

I am extremely passionate about the power of Sport, and the power of standing up against all odds. One of the most marginalised groups within sporting communities are females and I directly understand the odds that female athletes need to overcome to succeed and the distance that still needs to be covered to allow for equal opportunities for all to succeed with longevity.
